What stuck with me was the idea of beauty and horror, two things that aren’t commonly associated. Dichotomy fascinates me. I like placing disparate elements together, but making a whole with things we assume don’t belong together. In art this can be done so easily; with colour, texture, shape, size, and any other combination the imagination can come up with. I like to create beauty where there may not have been any before.
